Pipe Ceremony & Feast with Brian Heart

We are inviting our larger community to partake in a pipe ceremony with a potluck feast to follow:

  • Dress for ceremony, women wear skirts/dress*
    *
Sarong, sheets, and blankets can be worn in lieu

  • Bring a pillow or blanket to sit on
Brian will conduct this ceremony with folks sitting/kneeling on the ground

  • Bring your items* to be “wiped down”
Big drums, hand drums, shakers/rattles, staffs, medicine bags, and other items you use in your traditional/cultural practices that you’d like to smudge down.

  • Children may be asked to step out when appropriate
We want our children to observe respectfully; parents, caregivers, and elders will be asked to manage your children’s behavior in accordance with ceremonial protocols brought to Little Earth by Brian Heart.

We’ll have a firekeeper while the pipe ceremony and feast are taking place.

What’s next? Everyone is invited to participate in a co-ed Sweat Lodge ceremony on Thursday, October 30th at 4pm. Location will be along Ogema Place.
