The Little Earth Resident's Association is governed by a board consisting of eleven residents elected by fellow residents to represent all sections or quadrants of Little Earth housing.

Little Earth Court Watch
Little Earth residents and LERA administration/staff have been meeting monthly since early 2006 with representatives from Hennepin County Department of Community Corrections/Probation, Minneapolis Police Department, Hennepin County and City of Minneapolis attorney offices to discuss court outcomes of cases involving chronic offenders. With this information residents write impact letters to the judges advocating for culturally specific treatment, geographic trespasses, Hennepin County Adult Correctional Facility (Workhouse) placement and/or probation revocation to decrease the level of criminal behavior around Little Earth. Since 2006, 26 residents have received anonymous court watch numbers to maintain their privacy and have cumulatively written 57 impact letters.
